An Encounter With Grace
Loading scripture…
We gathered around God’s gracious presence and heard how grace meets us even when our choices should have disqualified us. From Genesis 18:1–5 and 18:14, Abraham’s renewed encounter with the Lord showed that God can still appear, speak, and move toward fulfillment of His promise, even after Abraham and Sarah tried to “help” God in their own way. This encounter reminded us that nothing is too hard for the Lord and that God can put fresh clarity and timing on what He has promised.
We were challenged to respond rightly to grace: to stop repeatedly creating crises that require rescue, and instead grow in discipline, faithfulness, stewardship, and consistency. When grace shows up, we’re invited to seize the moment—asking boldly, “pass not away”—and to make room for grace by yielding to God rather than resisting Him. In God’s presence, we can ask for what we need, trust His ability, and live as people who accommodate grace so it can work fully in our lives.

Managing My Mouth
Bishop Terry L. Hill, Jr. · Oct 11, 2026
In this final week of the "Managing Me" series, we were called to take stewardship of our words through James 3:1–12. The message challenged us to see that spiritual maturity is revealed in the ability to control what we say, because the tongue—though small—sets direction like a bit in a horse’s mouth or a rudder on a ship, and it can also do real damage like a spark that starts a forest fire. We were warned that our words don’t just describe our lives; they help direct and shape them, and car…
Manage Your Mind
Bishop Terry L. Hill, Jr. · Oct 4, 2026
We were called to deeper stewardship by learning to manage ourselves before we try to manage what God places in our hands. From Philippians 2:1–8, we embraced that our minds function like an operating system—shaping our attitudes, assumptions, beliefs, intentions, and behaviors—and that faithful living requires a renewed way of thinking that matches God’s ownership of our lives. Philippians 2 shows Jesus as our template for a well-managed mind. We were challenged to think like Christ by reject…
Stir Up The Gift
Elder Gary Harvey · Sep 27, 2026
We were challenged to face the question God asks of every steward: “What did you do with what I gave you?” From 2 Timothy 1:6–7, we were reminded that stewardship is bigger than money—it includes our time, relationships, opportunities, influence, and the gifts God has entrusted to us. Faithfulness isn’t proven by busyness, applause, or visible activity, but by caring for the assignment God actually placed in our hands. We were called to recognize what God has entrusted to us and stop burying i…
